The hardest thing about making Doodlebug projects is picking out what I'm going to use, everything is just so darn cute. I figured with all the sweets in this collection I had to make a gingerbread house and then I thought a pantry card would go with it perfectly to make a nice gift set.
For the card I used the armoire shaped card from Lori Whitlock's shop, I altered it a little so my stickers would fit in each cutout and I didn't want the doors to open. I used Doodlebug's 6 x 6 pad for the patterned paper on the doors and the striped back panel, the candy christmas paper is from the 12 x 12 paper pack . All the stickers are from the milk & cookies icon sheet and the this & that sticker sheet. I used a piece of ladybug chunky twine at the top and holly berries shaped sprinkles for the knobs.
I had so much fun making this house, I used another cut file from Lori Whitlock's shop, the gingerbread house, I altered this one also, I wanted the dear santa brick paper on the walls all to go the same direction, so a little rearranging fixed that. For the trim and roof, I used the santa sweet paper and then embellished the house with icon stickers, sweet spruce and jolly gingerbread doodlepops, some sugarplum, christmas glitter and candy cane sprinkles. I used some liquid applique and glitter around the door, windows, and chimney.
Here's a top view of the house, the chimney didn't come with it, I made it so the adorable santa chimney sticker would fit nicely, I also added the snowy top layer.
The house can be used as a luminary, I put vellum in all the windows and added two battery lights inside.
Hi, I was wondering if you could post a "follow by email". I have you in my Pinterest but because I don't get emails of your blog, I don't have many of your items that you make.
